With 18 years of coaching experience, Kieran has coached athletes from grassroots club basketball to youth national teams in his native Scotland. He spent much of his coaching career with Dunfermline Reign, working with players from U12 to U18, and served for three years as Assistant Coach of the Scottish University Men’s Team. He also spent two summers coaching at the renowned Morgan Wootten Basketball Camp in Maryland and Virginia, USA.

Kieran graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Sports and Management in 2014. He went on to spend five years with Basketball Scotland, managing youth development leagues and helping introduce and expand the nationwide Jr. NBA programme.

As a player, Kieran represented Scotland at youth and U20 level and captained Dunfermline Reign to the Scottish Basketball Championship Men’s Division 1 title in 2019. During his time at University, he was selected for 3 years to represent the Scottish Universities team as a player, playing in the Home Nations Tournament between 2011 and 2014. In 2026, he also played for the Newfoundland Rogues under former Memorial University women’s head coach Doug Partridge.

Since moving to Canada, Kieran has worked with the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA), supporting the growth of youth basketball and assisting provincial teams in preparation for national championships.

Kieran is a passionate coach who believes in creating positive environments where athletes can learn, compete, and develop a lifelong love of the game.
