Dakota graduated from Waterford Valley High in June 2024. She is currently completing the 2 year ECE program at Academy Canada. Dakota has been paying basketball since grade 3 (9 years ago). She has a strong passion for the sport. She played on the senior A team at WVH, who were 2023 4A champions. She has played in the club scene for many years and has also played with the St. John’s Woman’s League (SMB) this past summer 2024.

Dakota is very athletic and have played on multiple sports teams. Many of which she was named MVP or Most Sportsmanlike. Dakota became a basketball coach with SJMB in Sept’ 2022 and has coached girls under 10, under 12 and under 14 programs. Dakota has also coached grade 5 girls at Cowan Heights Elementary (Sept 2022 – June 2023). Dakota was a member of SJMB/Rock Elite program for almost 2 years. During this time, Dakota improved on her game tremendously which resulted in her earning MVP of the High School Girls Spring League 2022. Dakota has worked as a Summer Camp Coach with SJMB for the last 3 summers 2022 – 2024. In June 2024, Dakota was awarded the NL School Sports Sportsmanship Award. Dakota truely loves basketball and enjoys helping others learn the sport and what being part of a team is all about.
