Dion began playing basketball when he was in grade 5 and has been playing ever since. He played on several provincial teams, was a member of the Men’s Seahawks Basketball Program from 97-02 and has played in the Men’s Amateur Basketball League for 20+ years. Along with playing, Dion has also coached and officiated boys/girls of various ages and skill levels.

Being both a player and coach has provided him with a deeper understanding of the game which has helped him develop a coaching philosophy built around teamwork, discipline and continuous player improvement.

His ability to foster a positive team culture and push players to reach their full potential has earned him respect from both players and peers alike.

Dion graduated with a major in Recreation and a minor in Business in 2002. Dion also holds coaching certificates and is a certified personal trainer.
