John started playing basketball in grade 11 and instantly fell in love with the sport. Three years later, he was selected for the 1998 Canada Games Men’s Team. He has been playing ever since and is still an active member in the men’s city leagues. John started coaching back in 2018 and has throughly enjoyed his experience so far. He has three children who are active members in the program who he loves to help coach. Seeing the kids develop their skills and fall in love with the game just like he did, is what keeps him coming back!

Basketball has allowed John to meet so many amazing people throughout the years and although John loves competing, getting to make connections with these people off the court is what he loves most!
